A satellite office of Moses Cone Regional Cancer Center has opened at Moses Cone MedCenter High Point. Oncologist Peter Ennever leads an eight-member staff at the center on the building’s third floor.
“The new cancer center is full service with complete lab and chemotherapy capabilities,” Ennever says. “We are closely linked to all Moses Cone healthcare facilities and can easily access higher level care if needed.”
While radiology services are not part of the new facility, patients have full access to the research and clinical trials that Moses Cone Regional Cancer Center is involved in through its various partnerships.
The Regional Cancer Center office has eight chemotherapy chairs, six exam rooms, a pharmacy for preparing the special medicines used in cancer treatments and a laboratory.
It is hoped that the new office will alleviate some of the crowding at the main cancer center. “We draw a lot of people from that area,” says Jim Whiting, Vice President, Oncology, Moses Cone Health System. “We want to make our services more convenient to people who live nearby.”
