Moses
Cone Regional Cancer Center, located adjacent to Wesley Long Community Hospital,
has been designated a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Center by the
American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. As part of our research
program, we affiliate with Southeastern Cancer Control Consortium, to
participate in National Cancer Center-approved clinical research projects, which
gives our cancer patients access to the newest developments in cancer treatment
and care.
Services
of the Regional Cancer Center include surgical and gynecological oncology
programs, North Carolina's first inpatient Hospice unit, an oncology inpatient
nursing unit, an oncology dental program and a dedicated inpatient oncology
rehabilitation program.
The
Regional Cancer Center's outpatient services include radiation oncology,
chemotherapy, blood product transfusions and procedures, and the Risk Assessment
Clinic for genetic screening. And since families battle cancer together, the
Regional Cancer Center offers a program of extensive education and support
services for patients and their families, with dietitians, social workers and
support groups to help fight the disease.
The Annie
Penn Cancer Center offers a full range of cancer and blood disorder treatment
opportunities. Reidsville services include medical oncology, ambulatory
chemotherapy, patient support and outreach services, education, and radiation
consultation and follow-up.
Moses
Cone Health System also offers cancer services at the Stoney Creek Cancer
Center, at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville at Randolph Hospital in
Asheboro and at Morehead Hospital in Eden.
