Clinical Education Program

Welcome to Clinical Education at Moses Cone Health System

Moses Cone is a multi-center health system offering acute, inpatient rehab and outpatient experiences. Students who demonstrate the ability to perform within expectations as determined by the academic program, the student and the clinical instructor also can expect to participate in a rich and varied number of ancillary experiences while affiliating with our health system.

Our clinical education philosophy embraces the importance of developing intellectually curious and clinically competent professionals whose practice is informed by an appreciation of the individual-team impact on patient outcomes. We strive to offer a challenging and rewarding foundational experience upon which student-practitioners will build a lifetime of successful practice.

The Rehabilitation Department provides clinical education to students of physical therapy, occupational therapyspeech/language pathology, and therapeutic recreation enrolled in colleges and universities that have established contractual agreements with our rehabilitation department. Affiliation assignments are made through the academic coordinator of clinical education (ACCE) at each student's college or university in conjunction with the center coordinator of clinical education (CCCE), not by Moses Cone Health System.

This site contains important information regarding our facility and clinical education programs, including necessary forms, housing and parking information, and contact information. Students assigned to clinical affiliations should carefully review and submit necessary information at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the affiliations.

Moses Cone Health System is not a college/university program.
