Swartz named medical director

Staff additions and changes

Dr. Zachary Swartz has been named Medical Director, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

In this role, he will provide medical oversight to the rehabilitation program at The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. The program has 49 licensed rehabilitation beds and has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

Swartz has been with Moses Cone Health System since July 2000. In October 2004 he became Medical Director of the Brain Injury Program.
Swartz is a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia School of Medicine and completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Medical College of Virginia.

The rehabilitation program at Moses Cone Hospital provides rehabilitation for people impacted by stroke, brain injuries and accidents and offers specialized services such as balance assessment and swallowing retraining.
